Somerville MA Hardie Siding

This homeowner had 2 layers of cedar shingles that were completely at the end of its life. She experienced the siding resisting nails and losing its ability to hold paint. There was also a great deal of rot, bug, and woodpecker presence as well as sun spotting. This older house needed an upgrade curb appeal and protection.

PBS installed James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding Hardie Plank with Hardie House Wrap around the entire dwelling and taped around all seams including windows. Siding is a 7″ reveal Smooth in Hardie’s Color Plus Timber Bark. We also added Hardie Window & Door Trim and Sills, Hardie Fascia,  Hardie Soffit, and Hardie Corner boards in Arctic White and covered up a couple of windows that the homeowner no longer wanted.

This homeowner loves the larger reveal size, which we are finding is more popular in the city. No more water leaks and chilly winters!
